Dear Bearcat Families:
Beginning Monday, November 24, 2025, Ray Unified School District will launch a Pro-Kindness and Anti-Bullying Campaign across all campuses.
Yesterday, Monday, November 17, 2025, we began meeting with our 6th–8th grade students to reinforce our Zero Tolerance stance on physical violence on campus. Students were reminded that our expectation is simple: every student on our campus deserves to feel safe, respected, and free from harm.
As part of next week’s efforts, on Wednesday, November 26, 2025, we will welcome three Law Enforcement Officers who will visit K-12 classrooms to speak with students about the importance of kindness, respect, and refraining from physical violence. Officers will provide age-appropriate guidance on Arizona laws, school policies, and the consequences associated with harmful actions.
Throughout the week, students will also read, discuss, and learn about the different forms of bullying—physical, verbal, and online—and how each of us plays a role in creating a safe, kind, and supportive school community.
Thank you for partnering with us to help every student feel safe, valued, and empowered to lead with kindness.

UPDATE!!! ATTENTION JH BASKETBALL PARENTS! So sorry for the confusion. The activity bus is NOT cancelled. The JH Girls Basketball team will be having practice from 4-5pm today 11-19-25. If an arrangement cannot be made to pick them up at 5pm, they will need to ride the bus home after school. Again, this only applies for the JH Girls Basketball Team.
Incident Report — Important Safety Notice
Dear Bearcat Families:
This morning, one of our bus drivers discovered a single .22 caliber bullet on the floor of a school bus. The driver immediately followed all required safety procedures and notified District administration. An action plan was put in place right away.
Out of an abundance of caution, every student’s backpack on that bus was checked this morning, and these checks will continue daily for the time being. No firearms, ammunition, or weapons of any kind were found.
At this time, there is no evidence of a threat, and it is possible this was an accidental or isolated incident. However, student safety is our highest priority, and we take every situation seriously.
As part of our response, we will be contacting the families of all students who ride that bus to ensure awareness and to request that parents/guardians speak with their children about the importance of safety and reporting anything unusual.
Thank you for your partnership in helping us keep our students and staff safe.
Sincerely,
Dr. Jeremi Brewer
