Dear families, colleagues, and friends,
Due to the cost of the trip to England and France, we have changed the trip location to give more students the opportunity to attend. This new trip will be about $1000-$1200 less... We’re thrilled to share that we’re heading to Costa Rica in Summer 2026 (more than likely the first week of June), and we’d love for your student (and you) to join us!
This is an incredible opportunity for students to explore new places, experience different cultures, and gain lifelong skills like independence and confidence. I’ll be sharing all the details, including what we’ll see and do, hands-on learning activities, academic opportunities, trip costs, and how to secure a spot at our informational meeting.

To say that I’m proud of my students is a HUGE understatement!!! I am incredibly blessed with such a talented group, but they aren’t just talented. They are wonderful human beings and have amazing work ethic. These musicians work their tails off every day in class. Many stay after school, come in during lunch, come in when they get done early in other classes, and practice a lot at home. On 4/16, they were the ONLY band out of 15 bands to recieve a SUPERIOR (the highest) rating at the Eastern Arizona College Large Group Festivall! We were the smallest school going up against many schools that have 20+ times the student body that we have at Ray Unified School District #3. When you see these students out an about, please congratulate them and remind them how awesome they are. I am so blessed to be their teacher. ❤️ 🎵 👩🏫 Also, a special thank you to Geoff DeSpain for always putting on such wonderful festivals and competitions at EAC for our students. We have a blast every time we are there. 🤗

REMINDER:
Dear Bearcat Community, Ray Unified School District will be hosting an Information Session on Thursday, April 10 at 6:00 PM at the AgScience Campus. This event is open to all members of the public, and we encourage families, students, staff, and community members to attend and learn more about the future of Ray Schools. We also want to clarify that School Board members may attend this event in their individual capacity. However, this is not an official meeting of the Governing Board, and no Board business will be discussed or acted upon. In accordance with Arizona Open Meeting Law (A.R.S. § 38-431.01), no quorum of the Board will convene for deliberation or decision-making. The presence of multiple Board members at a public event does not constitute a violation so long as there is no discussion of official Board matters. This Information Session is an opportunity for open dialogue between the administration and the community — not a Board meeting. We value transparency and community involvement, and we look forward to sharing this time with you. Sincerely, Dr. Jeremi Brewer Superintendent Ray Unified School District
